The AlcoHAWK^® PT500 is the newest, cutting edge breathalyzer on the market. It accurately and quickly screens for the presence of alcohol up to 0.400% BAC. The PT500 incorporates PT Core™ fuel-cell sensor technology which uses an electro-chemical fuel-cell detection system and offers enhanced linear accuracy over traditional semi-conductor sensors. The easy to read LCD display is large, informative, and understandable. Like the AlcoHAWK^® Elite, the PT500 offers a temperature display that displays the temperature during testing to help ensure the test is being taken during an optimal temperature range (50-104 F). This unit also offers a Warning Level Indicator, which features both an audio and visual warning when a subject’s BAC is higher than the adjustable BAC alarm point. Like other breathalyzers it also features the pressure scan sensor, which ensures the user blows with enough force to start the test and that there is continuous breath running through the unit the whole time. The AlcoHAWK^® PT500 is the ideal unit for law enforcement roadside screening, corrections, probation officers, substance abuse clinics, boating, military, and many other areas of professional testing in which fuel-cell accuracy and reliability is required. As an added bonus the PT500 offers a test counter to keep track of the number of tests run on the unit. The PT500 Professional Kit offers adjustable blowing time, which allows it to be adjusted for subjects who have poor lung capacity such as a smoker or in the opposite sense, someone with a large lung capacity like a long distance runner. It is accurate and reliable for testing a variety of individuals and can be adjusted anywhere from 3-8 seconds.
